TERMS AND CONDITIONS

When you use Laila’s Pet Sitting Services: Southern Peninsula, I have your animal’s best interest at heart so you can go away knowing that your fur baby will be loved and cared for.

BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS

Overnight sits where I am asked to stay later than midday on the last day, will be charged at a day rate depending on when the client returns.

In the event of cancellations that are communicated to me by the client 12 days prior to the start of the booking period, there will be no monetary consequence. However, cancellations under 12 days prior to the booking will result in full charges for the booked period.  If the cancellation is due to exceptional circumstances being a death, then cancellations under 12 days will result in 50% charge of the total booked period.

If the client cancels 24 hours prior to the booked scheduled sit, Laila’s Pet Sitting Services reserves the right to charge a 40% cancellation fee. This applies to day and evening sits.

No refund will be given for early arrivals, holidays cut short or cancelling our services.

RATES

Rates will made available upon enquiry and sub charges will apply as below.

SUB CHARGES

As a pet sitter, I know we all need a break during the holidays. However, doing pet sitting on the following public holidays will carry an additional fee of R 50 for day and evening sits and R 100 for overnight sits.

 HEALTH AND SAFETY

The client must provide full and detailed information about their pets in the initial meeting. Please keep me informed of any changes to your pets including medication and medical conditions. During the sit, should an emergency arise regarding the health of your pet, please rest assured that I will try to contact you first. If your pet requires a trip the vet, I will transport your pet to your regular vet. Any veterinary visit will be charged at a rate of R100 per hour and R6 per km. Clients need to inform me of any changes regarding your contact number, addresses, your emergency contact person and other pertinent information.

HOME SERVICES

I must be informed of anyone coming to the property during the duration of the sit, including gardeners, pool service and house keepers.

GENERAL

It is the responsibility of the client for the following:

1.       To inform your regular vet that I will be responsible for the pets during the booked duration.

2.       To provide all instructions regarding feeding including times and portions.

3.       To provide premises that are reasonably clean and fit to live in.

4.       To ensure there is adequate electricity on the meter to last the entire duration of the booked sit as this will be the responsibility of the homeowner.

5.       To provide me with keys for the premises.

6.       To grant access to the internet via the WIFI password.

LIABILITY

1.       It is the client’s responsibility to insure their house and pets.

2.       I will not be held responsible for damage to your house including carpets, rugs, furniture, personal belongings, floors, plants, lawns or pools caused by your pet playing, biting, scratching, urinating, spraying, vomiting or defecating. Every reasonable effort will be made to clean up accidents caused by your pets with cleaning material made available by you. You will be kept updated of any damage I consider unusual and of course if I am concerned about the health of your pets, I will alert you immediately.

3.       I will not be held liable for any break ins, vandalism on your property during your absence.

4.       The client is responsible for the cost of any necessary treatment and veterinary bills.

5.       Please disclose your pet’s behaviour and temperament at our first meeting. You will be liable should your pet cause severe injuries to me.

6.       Clients must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the client’s absence (i.e. Food, medications, cat litter, etc.). Should your pets require any additional supplies whilst under my care, these will be purchased and will be added to your final invoice. Please note the cost for a shop visit to buy supplies is R 50 to cover fuel costs.

 

 PRICES AND PAYMENTS

1.       Payments to be made via bank account details specified on the invoice provided.

2.       Payment must be made within 24 hours of the day of your return for overnight sits. For day and evening sits, payments must be made no later than on the day of the sit.

3.       All prices are subject to change without prior notice due to inflation, fuel prices and or unseen economic circumstances.

FIRST MEET AND GREET

This meeting will take place as soon as possible after receiving your inquiry and confirmed booking dates. It is a detailed meeting as we will discuss your needs, dates, etc. and go through all the necessary information in detail to ensure that I am are able to provide for all your needs. During this meet and greet before your departure, it is preferred that I am given keys for the premises. If not, I will arrange to collect your keys at an additional cost of R 100. This is to cover my fuel expense in collecting and returning keys if required.

Please note, for clients residing in Capri (opposite Faerie Knowe), there will be no charge as I reside in Capri as well. Clients in Faerie Knowe will be charged R 50 for key collection and return if required. For all booked sits thereafter, the abovementioned will be applied if key collection and return is required.

MEDICATION

I must be given correct instructions for all medication which should be administered to your pets. I take no responsibility if anything should happen to your pet due to the medicine given. If I am bitten or harmed during the process of giving medication, you, the client will be responsible for any and all medical costs incurred.

SOCIAL MEDIA

The client to made aware that I will take photos of your pets to be used on my website, social media platforms for marketing reasons. These photos will be uploaded anonymously, respecting your privacy, details and address.

Policies and procedures can have reasonable changes and amendments, which may be implemented from time to time.
